By Car From Perth follow the A85, Galvelbeg House is situated on the left hand side about 1/2 mile past Crieff Golf Club. Turn left just before the house onto the unmade road and our car parking area is on the right. From Edinburgh follow the M90 to Perth, then follow the from Perth instructions above. From Glasgow and Stirling follow the A9 north, then the A822 and on entering Crieff follow the A85 signed Perth. From Inverness and Pitlochry follow the A9 south then the A822 and on entering Crieff follow the A85 signed Perth. From Oban, Crianlarich and Loch Lomond follow the A85 east and on entering Crieff follow the A85 signed Perth. Drive past the Tower Hotel and then continue past the shop "Houseproud", we are the second house on the right hand side. By Rail Main rail stations are situated at Perth and Dunblane which are both served with regular bus connections. A smaller station is situated at Gleneagles which is a 20 minute taxi ride. Transport to & from stations can be provided by prior arrangement. By Bus From Perth the number 15 bus runs frequently during the day. The stop for this is 200 metres from the B&B. From Stirling the number 47 bus goes direct to Crieff. By Air Both Edinburgh and Glasgow airports offer domestic and international flights. Travelling time to Crieff is about 1 hour by car.

From Glasgow and Edinburgh head towards Stirling on the M9. Having bye-passed Stirling city and castle, take the A9 north towards Perth. Within 7 miles of Stirling, take the tourist route [brown sign-posted A822] towards Pitlochry and you follow through the historical wee towns of Braco and Muthill before coming to Crieff and birth place of Ewen McGregor. On entering the speed zone of Crieff you pass over the River Earn bridge and James Cottage is suitably located within 600 metres of the bridge on the left-hand side of the road and within a 5-minute walk of the town centre where there is an abundance of pubs, shops and restaurant for the engaging visitor.
